This Celebration Red White & Blue Cake is super fun to decorate, and even more so to eat! Get your holiday on!
Hi there! Tomorrow is the 4th of July, and if YOU haven’t prepared a fun dessert for your family, then *I* have an idea for you!
Getting festive doesn’t have to be difficult, and you get put your own spin on design, color and flavor as you choose.
I thought a simple white frosted cake was the perfect canvas for decorating for the 4th. I like that I can put my own spin on whatever I’m working with, only limited by my own imagination.
This red white and blue cake is easily customized to all occasions:
- you could do baby pink and white or baby blue and white – and use the pacifiers in the center
- a mother’s day cake in pastel colors, with flower shapes in the center
- red sixlets, and hearts
- your suggestion __________ here!
How to decorate a 4th July Cake:
Put your three colors in bowls within easy reach. Place them on on the cake in any pattern you choose, pressing lightly so they stay on.
Continue around the top edge of the cake, and don’t forget the base!
When you have your pattern established, pour on the stars candies! ( I threw in a few small silver ones too, because… well, because I could)
Ta da!
