- 1 lb thick cut bacon
- 1 tsp pepper
- 1/4 cup pure maple syrup not pancake syrup
Preheat the oven to 400F, and line a large baking sheet with foil
Lay your bacon out flat on a wire rack on the baking sheet.
Generously pepper your bacon.
Bake for 15 minutes.
Remove, and baste the bacon with the maple syrup.
Return bacon to the oven, and cook a further 3-5 minutes (until desired level of done-ness)
Remove from oven.
