Skip the lines (and the expense) at your local coffee shop, and make this creamy, sweet and spicy Homemade Gingerbread Latte at home! It’s just what you need for chilly mornings, or frosty afternoons!
Combine all ingredients in a small saucepan over medium heat.
2 teaspoons ground ginger, 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon, 1/2 teaspoon ground allspice, 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves, 1 tablespoon molasses, 1 cup water, 1 cup white sugar
Heat, stirring, until the sugar is completely dissolved.
Let simmer gently for 10 minutes until slightly thickened.
Strain the mix through cheesecloth.
To make the latte
Pour your freshly brewed espresso or strong coffee into your favorite mug or cup (make it a big one, this is good)
1 cup hot coffee
Add 1-4 Tbs (or more, to taste) Gingerbread Syrup, and stir.
Top with steamed or warmed milk.

Finish with whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon.

No espresso? Try instant espresso powder or very strong brewed coffee.You can froth milk using a milk frother, a steamer, or use an electric beater.
