Mississippi Sin Dip is a cheesy, delicious dip perfect for gatherings. It's made by mixing cream cheese, cheddar cheese, sour cream, ham, and green onions with spices, then stuffing it into a hollowed-out French bread loaf. Bake until hot and bubbly, and serve with bread pieces, crackers, or veggies for a tasty treat everyone will love.
Preheat your oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.
Prepare the bread
Cut the top off 1 loaf Italian or French bread and scoop out the inside, leaving about a 1-inch thick shell. Tear the removed bread into bite-sized pieces and set aside (put in a bag or container to keep fresh)
Make the dip
In a large bowl, use a hand mixer to blend together 8 ounces softened cream cheese, 1 1/2 cups sour cream,1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce, 1 teaspoon garlic powder and 1 teaspoon onion powder.
Fold in the 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese, 1 cup diced cooked ham, and 1/4 cup chopped green onions, Mix until well combined. Taste and add salt and pepper if needed.
Fill the bread
Spoon the dip mixture into the hollowed-out bread loaf. Place the filled loaf on the prepared baking sheet. Top with extra cheese.
Bake the dip
Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until the dip is hot and bubbly and the bread is golden brown.
Serve
Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly. Serve with the reserved bread pieces, crackers, or fresh veggies for dipping.
