Get prepped. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease two 9-inch cake pans with butter and dust with flour.
Mix the dry ingredients. Combine the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and espresso powder in a large bowl. Mix on low until combined.
