Spinach Orzo Pasta with Parmesan
Spinach Orzo is a tasty side dish using orzo pasta, garlic, onion, spinach and parmesan. Quick, easy, and on the table in 10 minutes, this satisfies the whole family!

Ingredients
8
ounces
orzo
1
tablespoon
olive oil
2
cloves
minced garlic
1
tablespoon
all-purpose flour
1/2
cup
milk
salt and pepper
to taste
1 1/2
cup
baby spinach
1/2
cup
parmesan cheese
Instructions
Add
8 ounces orzo
to a pot of salted, boiling water.
While orzo cooks, heat
1 tablespoon olive oil
in a saucepan and then cook
2 cloves minced garlic
til fragrant (but don't burn!).
Sprinkle the
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
into the pot and combine.
Whisk in the
1/2 cup milk
, and continue to cook over low heat until thickened. Add
salt and pepper
to taste.
Once the orzo is cooked, drain and add to the sauce.
Add the
1 1/2 cup baby spinach
and
1/2 cup parmesan cheese
, and fold in gently.
Test for seasoning, and serve.
