Creamy Avocado Cilantro Dressing (or dip!)

A super easy and full of flavor avocado dressing, packed with cilantro, lime, garlic and jalapeno.
Use it as a salad dressing, use it as an avocado dip! (It goes great on tacos too!)

Let’s talk about this recipe. Is it a dressing? A dip? I don’t discriminate. Use it how you like. I seriously eat this with a spoon.
Seriously. You need to make it. TODAY. We use it on all kinds of salads, not just the one pictured above and as a dip for these Southwestern Egg Rolls.
It’s very creamy, dreamy and incredibly easy to make with pretty basic ingredients. Any that you don’t have, you can’t sub out easily (see below!)
Avocados are a wonderful base for this recipe – they’re nutrient dense, and the ONLY fruit that contains monounsaturated fat (the good kind)

How to make this recipe
This is a step-by-step photo guide. Full ingredients and instructions are in the printable recipe card below.
Jump- Combine all of the dressing ingredients in a blender or food processor and blend until smooth.
- Add more or buttermilk or yogurt to taste.
- Taste test! Add a little more jalapeno, cumin, or lime as needed.

Kylee’s Notes
- Make this thicker or thinner based on what you’ll use it for
- Remove the seeds from the jalapeno if you like the flavor, but not the heat!
- Pick ready to eat avocados. If it “gives” when you press the outside gently, but isn’t mushy – it’s ready to eat! We are looking for a buttery, creamy texture for this!
- Pulse in the food processor if you are going for a more chunky sauce vs smooth. Blitz it if you are after a sauce!
