Creamy, cozy, and full of warm spice, this homemade Eggnog Latte is the perfect holiday drink. Made with simple ingredients and topped with a sprinkle of nutmeg, it’s easy to make and even easier to love.

Eggnog is one of those seasonal favorites that disappears way too fast, so I say enjoy it while you can. No need to wait for a party – make it at home anytime.

This recipe came from never knowing if my local Starbucks would have it. Now I just make my own, and honestly, it’s better.

All you need is warm eggnog and espresso or strong coffee. Top with nutmeg or cinnamon, grab a cozy mug, and you’re set. Grab your coffee mug, crank up the Christmas music and let’s go!

  • Simple ingredients. Enough said. You’ll just need some creamy eggnog, some espresso or dark roast (strong) coffee and some whipped cream if you are feeling fancy.
  • You can froth milk using a frother, a steamer, or use an electric beater. You could use a mason jar with a lid and shake it, too!

Key Recipe Ingredients

Note: This highlights some ingredients. Full list is in the recipe card

  • Eggnog. This is the star, so use one you actually like the taste of. Store-bought works perfectly (I go for full-fat for the best flavor), but you can use homemade if you want. Light or dairy-free versions will work too, just a little less rich.
  • Espresso or strong coffee. Espresso gives you that classic latte flavor, but strong brewed coffee works just as well if you don’t have a machine. Instant espresso powder is a great backup too.
  • Whipped cream (optional). Totally optional, but highly recommended if you want that coffee shop feel. Adds a creamy, slightly sweet finish on top.
  • Nutmeg or cinnamon (optional). A light sprinkle on top adds that warm, cozy holiday flavor. Nutmeg is more traditional, but cinnamon works great too – use whatever you have.
