- Cooked, shredded chicken. Use rotisserie chicken or leftover cooked chicken for convenience. You can also cook and shred your own chicken breasts or thighs.
- Buffalo wing sauce. Adds a spicy, tangy flavor. You can adjust the amount of hot sauce to your taste preference.
- Ranch dressing. Adds a creamy contrast to the spicy buffalo sauce. Can be substituted with blue cheese dressing.
- Slider buns. Soft, small buns perfect for sliders. I love King’s Hawaiian rolls or Pepperidge Farm Slider Buns. You can also use my homemade Hawaiian Sweet Rolls or mini hamburger buns.
- Shredded cheddar cheese. Melts beautifully over the buffalo chicken. Can be substituted with mozzarella, monterey jack or pepper jack cheese.
- Salted butter. Used to make the garlic butter topping. Adds flavor to the sliders.
- Garlic powder and dried parsley. Add flavor to the garlic butter topping. Fresh parsley or Italian seasoning can be used if preferred.

How to make Buffalo Chicken Sliders

Make the garlic butter: In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, garlic powder, and dried parsley.
Prepare the baking dish: Use some of the garlic butter to grease the baking dish. Set the remaining garlic butter aside for topping the sliders.


Prepare the buffalo chicken mixture: In a large bowl, mix together the shredded chicken, blue cheese, buffalo sauce, and creamy ranch dressing. Mix until the chicken is well-coated.


Prepare the buns: Use a large, serrated knife to slice the rolls in half horizontally. Place the bottom halves into the prepared baking pan or baking sheet, cut side up.
Assemble the sliders: Evenly distribute the buffalo chicken mixture over the bottom halves of the slider buns. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the chicken. Place the top halves of the slider buns over the cheese.
Top with garlic butter: Brush the remaining garlic butter mixture over the top of the rolls. Pour any excess into the baking dish.




Bake: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Sprinkle extra parmesan over the top of the buns. Bake the sliders for 10 minutes or until the tops are golden brown and the cheese is melted.
Serve: Arrange the assembled sliders on a serving platter and serve immediately.

How to store leftovers
Refrigerator. Store any leftover buffalo chicken in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
Reheat. Reheat the buffalo chicken gently on the stovetop or in the microwave until warmed through. Add extra buffalo sauce if needed. Assemble the sliders just before serving.
Freezing instructions
Freeze the buffalo chicken filling separately in an airtight container. When ready to eat, thaw, reheat, and assemble on fresh buns for best results.

Buffalo Chicken Sliders
Ingredients
For the Garlic Butter
- 1/2 cup butter (melted)
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley
- ¼ cup parmesan cheese (powdered or grated)
For the Sliders
- 3-4 cups cooked chicken (shredded)
- 4 oz blue cheese (crumbled)
- 1/2 cup buffalo sauce
- 1/2 cup ranch dressing
- 12 slider buns (I do up to 18)
- 1/2 cup cheddar cheese (shredded )
Directions
Make the garlic butter
- In a small bowl, combine the melted 1/2 cup butter, 2 teaspoons garlic powder, 1 teaspoon dried parsley and ¼ cup parmesan cheese.
Prepare the baking dish
- Use some of the garlic butter to grease the baking dish. Set the remaining garlic butter aside for topping the sliders.
Prepare the buffalo chicken mixture
- In a large bowl, combine the shredded 3-4 cups cooked chicken, 4 oz blue cheese, 1/2 cup buffalo sauce, and 1/2 cup ranch dressing. Mix until the chicken is well-coated.
Prepare the buns
- Use a large, serrated knife to slice the 12 slider buns in half horizontally.
- Place the bottom halves into the prepared baking pan, cut side up.
Assemble the sliders
- Evenly distribute the buffalo chicken mixture over the bottom halves of the slider buns. Sprinkle 1/2 cup cheddar cheese over the chicken. Place the top halves of the slider buns over the cheese.
Top with garlic butter
- Brush the remaining garlic butter mixture over the tops of the sliders. Pour any excess into the baking dish.
Bake
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Bake the sliders for 10 minutes or until the tops are golden brown and the cheese is melted.
Serve
