This Baked Cinnamon Cream Cheese Roll-Ups recipe is a simple process that yields an amazing churro-like breakfast treat. 20 minutes in the oven (if you can wait that long) to dig in to these!
Step-by-step photos and instructions are below!
Can you believe I actually had to convince my children to try these? They’re deeply suspicious of all new foods (ugh), and were skeptical when I said brightly “they’re really good!! Try one!”.
I think they’re onto me, because I also said that about asparagus a few weeks ago, and they did try it. And hated it.
I guess I kind of deserved that one.
Anyway – the cinnamon-y deliciousness of these Cinnamon Cream Cheese Roll-Ups hit their nostrils, and they deigned to taste it. Naturally, their mother was right (as always – we’ll forget about the asparagus incident).

Kylee’s Notes
How about a variation?
Cooked apples, diced small are awesome inside these, or maybe Raspberries, Blueberries, Nutella. Even peaches!
Can I make these ahead?
Yes! I make these, bake them and then let them cool. They are great reheated in the oven, for about 5 minutes.

I am on a budget and my son asked for churros. I was lucky enough to find this recipe on your site. Had everything already at home. Have about 10 more minutes until they are done, and then I will report back. Thanks for solving my late night snack on a budget dilemma!

OMG!!!!!! When I tell y’all this was soooooo DELICIOUSLY SWEET! Who knew some bread and cream cheese and sugar could be this amazing! I love every cream cheese (huge cheesecake fan) and I enjoy sweet things with cinnamon. Marrying them was a great idea. Omg this is my new go-to recipe for sweets. Thanks for sharing.
Kathy says
So cool. You make it look so easy.
Brittany says
Do you spread the cream cheese all over and to the edges of the bread or just a layer down the middle? Thanks!!
Kylee says
I do it all the way to the edges!
Heather says
These are so good! Out in the country running out to pick up breakfast just isnt a reality, so a scrumptious easy to whip up recipe like this is perfect. I added some thawed frozen strawberries to the cream cheese mix. My family devoured them. My daughter said, “So these weren’t to hard to make right, so you can make them on a regular basis!” 🙂 Thank you for a new treat in the breakfast rotation.
Dawn Smith says
I made these with my kids and did a peanut butter version as well (I have some cream cheese haters lol) they were delicious and everyone loved them! Highly recommend tryingthis recipe!
Kerri-Lynne says
Wow, these were a big hit with my fam! Tried this recipe using Philadelphia wild berry whipped cream cheese I got on sale and could get rid of fast enough. (We can only eat so many cream cheese bagels and we aim for zero waste.) So happy you shared this recipe for others to try. Thank you!! This is super easy and fun to make. Good for breakfast or a fun comforting treat. Your ingredient measurements are on par! Doing 12 slices of bread, the only thing I had too much of at the end was the melted butter. Will try with 1/3 cup butter next time and see how close I get to zero waste.
Belinda says
Do you need to let the cream cheese soften can’t wait to try them
Kylee says
It’s easier to spread and mix when softened – if you don’t want to wait, unwrap the cream cheese from the foil, and microwave it for 30 seconds!
Brooklyn says
Yummy! These are awesome, I make them for my family

Maria Theresa Salazar says
Maria Theresa Salazar I just want to see the recipe for the cream cheese cinnamon roll up is very delicious quick question I have a family member that is allergic to powdered sugar is there any alternate for the powder sugar is there anything I can use besides the powdered sugar thank you very much
Kylee says
You could use regular sugar, or leave it out altogether. Another option is honey, agave or maple syrup?
Patti says
I made these today and scorched the bottom of most of them. Maybe I should have used parchment paper. Oh well, I cut off the burnt part and they were still yummy!
Kimmie says
