Key Recipe Ingredients

Remember: this is just an overview and the why of the ingredients I choose here. The full list of ingredients and amounts is found in the printable recipe card below

  • Cream Cheese. I use a lower fat cream cheese, and it has no effect on the taste! I let this soften to room temperature so that it blends easily.
  • Feta Cheese. This can be block or crumbled. Because salty feta is used, we don’t need to season with salt.
  • Roasted Red Peppers. Roast your own like I do with my Red Pepper Soup, or grab a jar.
  • Garlic. Fresh garlic is the best option here. It make a difference to the overall flavor, so don’t cheat with garlic powder!
  • Pepper. I use fresh ground cracked pepper for this recipe.
  • Dill. I use fresh dill. You can use dried if you prefer.
  • Dippers. Think carrots, sugar snap peas, celery, pepper strips, broccoli, cherry tomatoes, pita bread or crackers.

I use a food processor to make this an easy task. A high powered blender may also work.

Kylee’s Notes & FAQs

Use sun-dried tomatoes and basil for change!

A little lemon juice squeezed in just before serving will brighten the flavors!

Spice it up with some crushed red pepper flakes.

You could use sour cream or greek yogurt instead of cream cheese, but you’ll need to add more salt. The consistency will be runnier, so add more feta!

You can make this up to 5 days in advance. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

This dip is scrumptious (confession: I needed spell check for that one!)! Cream cheese always makes a great base for a yummy dip and I’m glad to have found one that tacks on just a little less guilt!

  4. I’m a huge fan of all the ingredients in this dip. Anything with roasted red peppers and feta and dill gets my vote.

  5. The kids loved this so much, I had to make another batch!
